YOUR MISSION is to swim back to shore!
This is something very few swimmers ever get to do.
If you are training for a significant ocean swim and have not experienced the feeling of being far from land, this is a great opportunity!
HOW IT WORKS
Meet your fellow swimmers at the Sorrento pier, where you will board your boat. We will then head out to Bass Strait, via the famous "Rip"! Even the boat trip there and back is something to behold as we transit the Port Phillip 'Heads'.
Distance of your swim
You can choose to swim 3km, 5km or 7km, and possibly even a slight variation on that depending on the group dynamics.
Kayakers
We will have kayakers to keep an eye on you.
Direction of your swim
We will be swimming back towards the shore. The scenario is that of a survival swim - swim back to safety! There will be a mark to aim for a touch and then you will have accomplished your mission!
Safety
We will have our main boat, a kayaker with your group and a paramedic. While we will not need to concern ourselves with tides, we will only proceed in weather that gives us an enjoyable trip.
Cost: $490 (Inc. GST)
Maximum 25 people
No refunds - please make sure you are available for both dates (10 & 11 October)

Kayaker for your group providing additional safety, navigation and a feeling of security
